We have a new song of the day for you...Yay!
This song is called Holidays and is the brain child of Miami Horror an Australian indietronica band from Melbourne.
The band started in 2007 with a load of remixes and eventually moved on to doing their own thing.
Miami Horror's live show is augmented by Josh Moriarty (Peacocks, ex-Young & Restless) on guitar, DJ/producer Aaron Shanahan on drums, and Daniel Whitechurch on keys, guitar and bass guitar.
Here is the download link for today's song.

Weird Phobia's
After a long night of browsing the web I came across a few weird phobias. Some people are afraid of the most mundane things you can think of. I know they say the mind is a powerful thing but how do you convince yourself that you are afraid of the following things:
Arithmophobia- Fear of numbers.
How can one be afraid of numbers, aren't they like everywhere we look?
Barophobia- Fear of gravity.
Mmm...This one seamed a bit far fetched. (please note that this is not the fear of falling or heights but simply of gravity itself)
Cathisophobia- Fear of sitting
I guess if you have to stand for the rest of your life you will at least have a great pare of calves. I want to see these people get into bed.
Dutchphobia- Fear of the Dutch.
This must be my favorite one :)
Hygrophobia- Fear of liquids, dampness, or moisture
I guess offering them a glass of water or a cup of tea is out of the question.
Meteorophobia- Fear of meteors
This is a very valid fear and I understand where it is coming from but really Meteors?
Metrophobia- Fear of poetry.
This was probably firstly diagnosed in kids who didn't want to do their homework.
So that's our list of weird phobias. I will be searching the web for more bizarre phobias for you to enjoy.
Have a great day and please subscribe by entering your email on the right to receive information on new posts.

5 Have to Have items
Time for 5 Have to have products this week!
Before we start I would just like to add that this segment is a huge hit and since we started it last week our subscribers has doubled...Me happy Much.
Let’s get cracking. Our first product of the week is both weird and will probably freak anybody right out of their sock but I think that’s why it appealed to me so much.
Horse Head Mask is a life-size Latex horse head. Now before we go any further I would just like to add that I have a crazy irrational fear of horses and they freak me out beyond words. That said I still think this is pretty cool and would be a great laugh among friends.
After realizing we have quite a few girl subscribers I decided to search the web for some awesome girl product as well. The first one I came upon blew my Mind! Star Wars themed hand painted heels. These are so cool and a geek like me would love to see his girlfriend strut around in a pair of these. Don’t worry girls if you aren’t the Star Wars kind you can get these hand painted designer heels in the theme of your choice.
I love finding weird and wonderful things to stick to my wall and this is definitely going into the 'Have to buy' section in my brain. It’s called the Steampunk Wall Tentacle. It reminds me of those old cartoon where a ship was being trampled by the sea while being devoured by a huge squid. They come in 3 sizes S,M and L. The Large is the size of a real human arm. Personally I think this is a great conversation starter.
Now for something a bit more High Tec. Meet the Floating lamp. This high tech lamp takes the vintage lamp shape and redefines it with a floating lamp shade. This Low electricity consuming lamp uses the latest LED technology along with Electromagnetic hover technology to give the appearance of a futuristic “Vintage lamp”. If you didn't go ‘wow that is kind of cool’ there is no hope left.
Our last product of the week will help you save even more. Roll out Piiiig the Extendable Savings Bank. This cute little piggy bank is ideal for anybody looking for a bit of extra savings space. It is quite a simple concept but works like a charm. Just fill your piggy bank like normal and when it reaches the full mark just add another ‘belly’ to your pig and wham bam more saving space. What makes this even cooler is that there are no limit to how many extra ‘belly’s’ you can attach.
That’s our product list for this week. Leave your comments in the box below.
Have a great week

Song of the day.
It has come to my attention that the song of the day has become quite popular. With this great news I have decided that a post that would of been posted every now and then will now be posted every day...I know you are doing a little happy dance right now.
Today's Song of the Day is by Ben Lee an Australian "Pop Star" and amateur actor.
Ben's musical career began in 1993 with a band called Noise Addict which later broke up. He has since moved through and performed with a handfull of bands but still could not find the right fit until he started his solo career.
Our Song of the Day is called Indian Myna. Enjoy!

5 Have to Have items
Hey Ya’ll from this day forth we will have a weekly “have to have” section on A-Grate. This will showcase 5 awesome products you can buy online from various online stores.
So let’s jump right into it.
Our first product is Toast it Coasters. This brilliant coaster design sold by MoMa Stores is a must have. Made with cork just like yesteryear's coasters and comes packaged as a loaf of bread.
Vespertilium washing pegs. These awesome little pegs where actually designed for Halloween and comes in black and orange. Due to the black pegs popularity (Because of its obvious batman shape) the pegs are now available all year round…Got to get me some batman pegs!

If you are like me and love little terrariums, you are going to LOVE this. Meet the Domsai Terrarium. These little creatures (Creations) come all the way from Italy. Matteo Cibic a multi-threat creative director for architecture, design and ad brands describes his little guys as a kind of tamagotchi for our desk or side table. Made from high grade ceramics and hand blown glass which only means each and every Domsai is different and unique. All it needs is love, Sunlight and a bit of water and it will grow to be your best friend…If you don’t have real friends that is.
I love rocking it out in style and this wooden tie will give you the edge you deserve. Made from reclaimed wood, it’s lightweight and flexible. It is built with a cord that runs through wooden segments to keep the whole thing together. Since it is made from recycled wood each tie is different and has a different feel to it, from nail holes to rusted spots.
My last have to have product of the week is the BinPan. Yes I know quite an obvious name but this dustbin and dustpan hybrid is something I think every home needs. Convenient and easy to use this simplistic design will make house chores so much easier.

Song of the Day!
Once in awhile we will have this feature on our site called Song of the Day. This is were we will post our rocking song of the day.
The great part about this is that you can download the Song of the Day FOR FREE!...Yes I know what you are thinking..."This is unreal"...but no this is very very real. Just as real as Unicorns and Care bears.
So let's get to it, our Song of the Day is by a folk-pop quartet called Bombadil.
The band consists of Daniel Michalak and Stuart Robinson on vocals and multiple instruments. Bryan Rahija on deft guitar and James Phillips.
After leaving the stage in 2009 due to illness they are back and better than ever.
“A Question” centers on Robinson’s (intentionally) fumbled phrases and a softly-strummed ukulele as he slowly works up the courage to confess his feelings to an unnamed crush, then hastily backpedals when things does not go his way.
So here you go click on the download link below and enjoy. Please remember to comment and give me your thoughts on today's song.
